Bob Adams

Bob AdamsBob Adams is focused on the overall direction of PlantRight including ongoing development of strategic partnerships within the horticultural, nursery, and landscape industries; the systematic development of plant material screening and early detection capabilities; and the necessary business case to enable adoption of PlantRight to eliminate the sale of invasive plants in California.

Prior to PlantRight, Bob led the Design for Sustainability initiative at IDEO – one of the world's leading design and innovation consultancies – from 2003 to 2009. While at The Natural Step from 2001 to 2003, Bob also integrated principles of sustainable development into the design process. Since 1987, Bob has consulted and lectured internationally on sustainability, innovation and transformation and taught at Stanford University, London's Royal College of Art and UC Davis on a range of topics.

Bob holds advanced degrees in Viticulture from UC Davis and in Product Design from Stanford University. His undergraduate training was in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design at Stanford University. Bob also owns and operates a farm in the California's Sacramento Valley where he produces heritage fruits and vegetables, grains and olive oil.

Christiana Conser

Christiana brings more than 10 years of experience in invasive species management and ecological restoration to the project. Prior to PlantRight, Christiana worked on large-scale riparian habitat restoration and invasive species removal projects in the Sacramento Valley for River Partners. She also served as Invasive Species Chair for the Mt. Lassen Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS), and helped to create a Central Valley version of CNPS's "Don't Plant a Pest" brochure. Christiana has also worked on restoration projects for the Insituto de Ecologia in Mexico and Golden Gate National Recreation Area in the Presidio.

Christiana received both her BS in Biology and MA in Ecology and Systematics from San Francisco State University. She recently published her thesis research, which looked at restoring coastal habitats invaded by iceplant (Carpobrotus edulis), in the journal Biological Invasions.

Greg Richardson

Greg RichardsonGreg manages PlantRight’s annual Spring Nursery Survey, a data collection effort to track the retail market for invasive plants in California, and fills many of PlantRight’s outreach and administrative needs.

Prior to PlantRight, Greg held internship positions in the fields of green building at the architecture firm Gensler, corporate social responsibility at Net Impact, and environmental journalism with the website Greenwala.com.

Greg received a dual-degree Bachelor's of Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and graduated ‘cum laude’ for his studies in economics and environmental sciences.
